Philip joined the firm working part-time between 1988 and 1991.Philip has been with us since 1991 on a full time basis and has undertaken a wide range of work initially including crime and civil litigation. Philip now specialises in children and family matters and is a Member of the following specialist panels:
(a) Resolution Specialist in Children and Domestic Abuse
(b) Law Society’s Childrens Panel
(c) Law Society’s Family Panel Advanced.
Philip has also trained as a Mediator with Resolution and is a Member of the Family Mediators Association. Philip undertook the Resolution Collaborative Training Course in 2009 and has developed a local collaborative practice dealing with children and family matters.
Andy has been with our firm since 1998 and decided to specialise in Criminal Advocacy, Employment Law and Civil Litigation (Particularly Personal Injury). He is a member of the Court & Police Station Duty Solicitor Scheme and is a member of the Society of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Michael joined our firm in 2018 as a Trainee Solicitor.
Michael completed his LLB Law Degree at Lancaster University before going on to complete his Legal Practice Course and LLM Law Masters at the University of Law in Manchester to which he obtained a Distinction.
Michael qualified as a solicitor in 2020. Michael’s work revolves around Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Deputyships, Trusts, Probate and Family matters.
Elizabeth joined our firm in 2015 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2019. She works mainly in the Crime Department and assists in Probate work. She is a member of the Court & Police Station Duty Solicitor Scheme and is a member of the Society of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Jackie joined the firm in 1988 and specialised in Family law and compensation claims. She is now mainly involved in Costing. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Victoria joined the firm in 2020 having previously worked in London, Lancaster and the South Lakes area. Victoria completed her LLB Law Degree in London before going on to complete an LLM in Criminal Litigation, obtaining a distinction in Advocacy, and the Bar Vocational Course. Victoria remained in London to cross-qualify as a Solicitor, during which she obtained experience in various disciplines including criminal litigation, family litigation, immigration law and educational law, housing disputes and contentious probate matters. Victoria regularly provided support in matters brought before the High Court, Court of Appeal and the Old Bailey. Victoria also conducted advocacy in county court proceedings on a private basis. Victoria then moved on to specialise in Conveyancing, working for a niche London practice before relocating to her home town in Cumbria. Victoria undertakes all forms of conveyancing work, including sales, purchases, remortgages, equity releases and transfers of equity.
Elizabeth Boardman commenced working in the legal profession over 25 years ago and has been a fee earner in the residential conveyancing department of a number of firms in Manchester and Cumbria. She has experience in residential property matters including sales, purchases, transfers of equity and re-mortgages. Elizabeth has a strong following of clients and works exclusively in the field of residential conveyancing.
